Saving All My Love for You

So the whole "Can't Fight This Feeling" video dedication for Kelly evolved into something far different (see below), but she suggested a great back-up: Whitney Houston's "Saving All My Love for You." A very singable song I'll have in my head for the rest of the weekend.

I'm ready for more '80s love, people! Bring it.

I love 80's posts, and I adore Whitney, I was so sad when she died :(

Anyhow the song that comes to mind for me is "Ain't Nobody" by Chaka Khan. I am not sure about the music video though, if there even is one.

There's a huge Whitney Houston exhibit at the Grammy Museum up here. Her costumes are amazing. Sparkles! I think it is here through the spring.

Thank you for suggesting Chaka Khan. Needed!

Love this song so much. On a long drive recently my friend and I had a Whitney greatest hits CD blaring the whole way, and singing along at the top of our voices made the journey go so quickly!

Something about being in a car makes me feel totally free to sing as loudly as possible, like no one else can hear. But i'm pretty sure all the people looking strangely at the car every time we pulled up at traffic lights could hear, and they were definitely not appreciating our wailing!

Yes! Whitney. Long drives. A friend. Perfection.

I seriously cannot sing among others if I want to hold onto their respect. I might sing in front of my husband, who has a marvelous voice and is able to carry my squeaks and flat notes.

But singing on my own affords me the chance to indulge in a lot of pointing, facial gestures, and hand movements. Yes, I'm starring in a video in my own head.
