Shanti Draws Wilfair!

I'm such a fan of Shanti Draws. She loves the offbeat ephemera of life, as do I, so I commissioned a Shanti-style Wilfair poster.

Here's the fabulous result! Love it. Love what she chose, too. I sent her a giant list brimming with Wilfairiana, indicated a few items I really hoped she'd include, and then asked her to go for it.

The bellows might be my very favorite. Kind of want that on a t-shirt now! I want it all on a t-shirt!

Ooh pretty! Want it on a T-Shirt, or a notebook, or a folder or something.

More Wilfair merchandise for sale please, is what I'm saying.

Also really really want to be able to draw like that, but we cant have everything, so I will make do with nice prints of other peoples lovely drawings.

Ohhhh, I want to draw, too. I've said it before: If I had a speck of ability in this area, "Wilfair" probably would have been a graphic novel. I can dream.

Thanks for the kind words! I will pass along to Shanti.

I know, I'd love some merch, too! I want to wear a t-shirt. Wilfair wrist corsages for sale, maybe?

this would be an adorable fabric pattern. pretty sure there are sites that let you create such things, right? imagine the possibilities! my brain goes immediately to 50s-style housedress, for instance. or the reverse of a quotable monty pillow...

speaking of, apparently monty overwhelmingly wants sutton's wisdom, specifically, immortalized in thread. iiiiinteresting.

do dah: I, too, am an aficionado of '50s-type busy fabrics. So cute.

How do you feel about fruit-dotted oilcloth from basically the same era? I'd cover everything with it, if given a chance.

i really like the traditional '50s kitchen with leatherette (or whatever it was properly called) and linear furniture and fruit. and a matching apron. of course, most of my experience with this aesthetic comes from diners, so now i want a giant milkshake...
