Gingerbread Motel

Wait. Is that a a piece of rice dipped in icing four-colored pen that's been dropped by the stick of gum diving board? Someone's probably looking for it.

Rips sour candy, apple and cherry
Peppermint lifesaver
Doublemint gum
Pillsbury Funfetti frosting, blue
Pretzel sticks, chocolate frosting
Sour Punch straws, raspberry
Betty Crocker icing, white, green, and blue

Oh my God, this is MAGNIFICENT. I had every intention of making a gingerbread house this year, but here it is, 3.36pm on Christmas Eve, and I have made precisely zero progress on that plan. Perhaps if I'd thought of a gingerbread Fairwil, I would have been more productive!!

Have you ever made a gingerbread house, MomM? This was my first go! It is NOT EASY. The falling walls!

This is amazing!! How long did it take you?

I've never made a gingerbread house. I intended to one year, but by the time I'd made the dough and rolled it all out, I just kind of gave up on the idea and made an army of gingerbread men instead.

I have a little behind-the-scenes post coming. The baking/cutting part was the time-intensive part.

I like an army of gingerbread men. I'm sticking to gingerbread people from here on out.
